Description
There are many ways of harvesting salmon in the commercial fisheries in Alaska, most of which require a great deal of muscle power. In "Picking Fish", the long & heavy net is pulled over the bow of the skiff. The salmon are "picked" out and the net drops back into the water for more fish. --RM X LOW INVENTORY!!Pike Street Market

Description
This silkscreen illustrates an Eskimo legend of a young boy and his sister that lived with their wicked grandmother during a time of starvation. The boy was blind. One day a polar bear approached . The grandmother handed the boy his bow and said "I'll point you in the right direction then you shoot." The boy drew his bow, shot and killed the polar bear. "Oh, too bad you missed " said the grandmother and turning to the boy's sister whispered, "Now there will be more meat for you and me." But in the night, while the grandmother slept the sister brought her brother meat. The legend continues with a happy ending; the blind boy ventures to the ocean and regains his sight with the help of a loon. The wicked grandmother goes to the ocean for magic powers and is swept underwater by a seal. The seal spirals down until the grandmother becomes a Narwhal and disappears into the sea. --RM LAST AVAILABLE !! Pool

Description
I have a cozy one-room cabin in the San Juan Islands where I go about once a year to paint and goof-off. The area is not only known for its great beauty but also, to the locals, for its many power outages. Here I am in my favorite pajamas with my favorite dog, Muncie, during one of the power outages. --RMPriest and Cat
